Popcorn mostly reacts with Casey and Snow Globe in a best-friend relationship. All three of the characters were on the same team in the original series.
According to "Happy No-Content Anniversary" Casey and Snow Globe were originally meant to have a rivalry over each other just for Popcorn. The canon situation for this is that Snow Globe and Casey want to be Popcorn's best friend. However, Popcorn sees the two equally, and doesn't seem to have a favorite over the two. So Casey and Snow Globe conflict over each other, trying to prove of Popcorn's best-friendship, only to have Popcorn get annoyed at them. However, this was never shown until it was eventually referenced in the Object Overload tribute video.[1]
